The overseas travel insurance plan offers cover if your baggage is lost in the custody of the carrier. However, the reimbursement excludes loss of jewelry, cash, etc. The policy also reimburses the cost of emergency purchase of replacement items if your baggage is delayed beyond 12 hours. Further, if you lose your passport abroad, the insurer reimburses you for the necessary expenses you might incur to get a duplicate passport. All these insurance covers are termed as Loss of Personal Possession covers.
