Types of claim settlements

There are two types of claim settlements - reimbursement and cashless settlement.

Reimbursement claim settlement is when you settle hospital bills and subsequently make a claim with complete documentation.

Cashless claim settlement is when you intimate the insurance company or the Third Party Administrator (TPA) about your hospitalization requirement. The TPA then directs you to a network hospital and pays the expenses directly to the hospital. This payment is subject to deductibles and the sum insured, as specified in your travel insurance plan.
