Floater plans

Wednesday 05 December 2007

A floater plan is a health insurance cover that can be used by all the members or by a single-family member for the policy period. For instance, if a four-member family has purchased a floater plan for a sum assured of Rs.200,000, each member could use Rs. 50,000 each toward medical cost or one member could use the entire cover of Rs.200,000, if the need arises. The premium for a floater health plan offers significant discounts as compared with the cost of an individual health plan.
