Iffco Tokio General Insurance Co Ltd. is a joint venture between the Indian Farmers Fertiliser Co-operative (IFFCO) and its associates, and Japanese insurer, Tokio Marine and Nichido Fire Group.
The company began operations in December, 2000 with its headquarters in Gurgaon, Haryana. At present, it has 100 offices in India.
It offers retail, commercial and specialty insurance policies such as credit insurance and fine arts insurance for private collectors of art. It also offers risk management solutions. The company offers about 40 plans in all, across various insurance segments.
