Apollo DKV Insurance Co. Ltd is a joint venture between the Apollo Hospitals Group and German DKV AG Deutsche Krankenversicherung AG. Apollo has the majority 74 per cent stake in the JV.

The company started with an initial in vestment of Rs. 108 crore and began its operation in 2007.

The company offers health insurance products to individuals as well as to the corporate sector. Operating from over 100 centres, Apollo DKV offers cashless hospitalization facility in over 4000 hospitals in India and hospitalization on reimbursement basis all over the country.

The company also offers general insurance cover for personal accident and travel. It also has plans to offer policies offering cover out-patient care, long-term care, disease management solutions, and so on.
