Date : Oct 31, 2008 Question 1.Me and my wife have individual mediclaim policy of one lakh each from an X Insurance company.Now I want to discontinue it and take a floater policy of two lakhs from Y Insurance company.Will the no claim benefits (regarding premium discount and pre existing disease)be carried forward to the new policy? 2.My employer is providing me a mediclaim policy of the same Y company ,do I need to take an extra policy? Answer Benefits offered on one plan cannot be carried foward to another, so your no vlaim bonus, and pre-existing illness cannot be carried foward to a new plan, expecially if you planning to move form individual mediclaim to family floater both being a different type of plan. |
