KP Balaraj is a Managing Director with Sequoia Capital India. Sequoia Capital India has been formed with WestBridge Capital Partners which Balaraj co-founded in 2000. Prior to founding WestBridge, Balaraj was part of the Whitehall Group of Goldman Sachs & Co., where he served as a member of Goldman-backed funds and operating companies that invested over $1 billion of private equity in Southeast Asia. Prior to that, Balaraj was a co-founder and CFO of Miradiant, a financial services venture-backed startup. Earlier, Balaraj was an investment banker at Salomon Brothers.
Balaraj is a founding board member of Young Entrepreneur's Organization (YEO) Bangalore. Balaraj received an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BS in Business Management from Brigham Young University, where he graduated as valedictorian of his class.

Ramaraj, is the Co- Founder and till recently the CEO of Sify Limited, the pioneer and leader in Internet, Networking and eCommerce Services in India. Sify was the first Indian Internet company to be listed on the Nasdaq National Market in the US (NASDAQ : SIFY).
Ramaraj was recognized as the 'Evangelist of the Year' at the India Internet World Convention in September 2000. And in 2001, in a CNET.com poll in India, Ramaraj was voted the IT Person of the Year 2000. He was invited by the UN Secretary-General, Kofi Annan to be a member of UN's Working Group on Internet Governance (WGIG).
Ramaraj is a B.Tech in Chemical Engineering from the University of Madras and an MBA from the IIM, Calcutta. Beginning his career in Sales and Marketing, Ramaraj went on to pioneer the retail marketing of computers in India by establishing Computer Point in 1984. He was a Founder Director of Microland Ltd before a stint in cellular telephony as Director, Sterling Cellular up to 1996.
Currently Ramaraj is associated on a part time basis,as a Venture partner/mentor at Sequoia Capital and is a member of the global Board of Trustees of TiE (The Indus Entrepreneurs).Ramaraj is the first Indian to be invited to the Board of directors of ICANN (Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers).
Mr. Ghyanendra Nath Bajpai is a distinguished leader in Indian business, most recently as the Chairman of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) and Chairman of the Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC). Mr. Bajpai is known for his visionary leadership and exemplary integrity. He has served as non-Executive Chairman and a director on corporate boards in India and other countries, received awards for contribution to business, and authored several books. Mr. Bajpai has been Chairman of the Corporate Governance Task Force of International Organization of Securities Commissions, Insurance Institute of India & served on the Governing Boards of Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow and National Insurance Academy.
Mr. Bajpai has been a member of Board of Directors inter-alia at General Insurance Corporation of India, ICICI Bank, Unit Trust of India, UTI Bank, Tata Chemicals, Jindal Vijay Nagar Steel, Thane Electric Supply Co., National Housing Bank, Discount & Finance House, Indian Railway Finance Corporation, India International Insurance Ltd., Singapore and Ken-India Ltd. Nairobi (Africa). Mr. Bajpai was also Non-Executive Chairman of National Stock Exchange, Stock Holding Corporation of India, LIC Housing Finance Ltd, LIC Care Homes and LIC International EC Bahrain and LIC Nepal Ltd. He has delivered lectures including at London School of Economics (LSE), Harvard University and MIT and also addressed Stanford University, OECD & IMF seminars. He has written three books: 'The Securities Market', 'Marketing of Insurances', and 'How to Become a Super Successful Salesman'. He received among others the "Outstanding Contribution to the Development of Finance" award from Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
R J Sridhar Associate Director JAFCO (South Asia)
RJ Sridhar joined JAFCO Asia in 2007 and is currently Associate Director, based in the Singapore office, responsible for investments in South Asia including India.
From 2005 to 2007, R J worked as a Senior Associate with Morgan Stanley in New York, in the Equity Research division. He covered companies in the U.S. Communications Equipment sector with a combined market capitalization of about $300 billion, spanning the wireline, wireless and enterprise data networking segments. RJ actively provided investment recommendations to large institutional investors and hedge funds as well as the bank’s internal sales & trading divisions.
Before receiving his graduate degree in business, RJ spent four years in engineering and technical management roles with companies in the telecommunications equipment industry including Nokia and Sycamore Networks, where he led multiple teams in qualifying the development of routing and switching products. He began his professional career in 1999 as a test development engineer with Nortel Networks in California.
RJ was born in Chennai, India. He received his B.Eng in Electronics & Communications Engineering from Madras University in India, and a Masters degree in Electrical Engineering from The Ohio State University in the U.S. He also earned an MBA with a concentration in finance and general management from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business.
Kasi is a management graduate with over 15 years of retail finance expereince. He had over 8 years of experience in PAL Credit and Company Ltd (in house finance company of India's then leading car manufacturer) before joining ICICI as their first employee in the retail loans business. He was responsible for setting up the franchisee distribution system for auto business at ICICI.
In 1999, he moved as the Head of Sales & Distribution for the complete range of retail products including car finance, home finance, credit cards and bank liability products. ICICI became a leader in Car finance within 18 months of the product launch displacing long entrenched players from the top spot. He was the COO and co-founder of Apnaloan.com when it was set up in 2000.
In 2003 he took on full time management responsibilities for the management of a manufacturing company making renewable energy devices. He currently is a consultant to several top corporate names in India and overseas.
